Well, bless your heart. I was just sittin' here with my morning coffee, watchin' the squirrels fight over a peanut, when my grandson Timothy—bless his soul, he's in community college now—he sends me this link. Says, "Grandma, you gotta try this for your 'projects.'" And I thought, Lord, what kind of project requires a TESSAN Surge Protector Power Strip, 5 Ft Flat Plug Extension Cord with 3 USB (1 USB C) 8 Outlets, 1250W, 900J Protection, 3 Sided Outlet Extender with Power Switch for Office, Dorm Room, Grey? I ain't runnin' a server farm, honey. I'm just tryin' to charge my iPad and maybe keep the oxygen concentrator from trippin' a breaker.
So I opened the box. It's grey. Looks like a robot turtle. Flat plug—that's nice, I gotta say, my old one stuck out so far I couldn't push the bookshelf against the wall without hearin' that awful crackle. This one lays flat like a well-trained dog. I got three sides of outlets, which means I could plug in the Christmas lights, the toaster, and my vibrator all at once without any of 'em askin' questions. But you know what Timothy was really askin' about. Lord, I should've known.
So I did it. I sat on the product for about three minutes. Let's just say the 900 joules of surge protection ain't the only thing that gets protected. The USB C port—that's new to me—actually charges my phone while I'm ... inspectin'. So I can't say it's useless. But the shape? It's not curved like some of those other home improvement rectal use items I've seen. It's a rectangular block. God didn't design the human body for geometry tests. My chiropractor is gonna have questions.
Would I recommend the wiha extension cord under 22.99 for this purpose? Only if you like a quiet, electricity-related conversation with your own mortality. Trying this was a mistake wiha extension cord—but damn if the flat plug ain't nice. Anyway, I'm goin' back to my squirrels. You kids have fun.
